Do You Remember?
I am not good enough. I am not worthy. I don’t deserve it. I am an imposter.
The shale slides constantly beneath my feet. The slope is too steep. Mitch is to my left, powering upwards. He is bear crawling – the man is a beast. But even Mitch is struggling.
Every step up results in a slide back down which seems equal or more to the original step.
I try to match his technique – head down into the mountain. Toes straight ahead, with ankles bent into the slope at a painful angle. Hands scrabbling at the rock and dirt. Fingers tearing.
Each step sets off a mini-rockslide. Luckily we are in the middle of nowhere and no-one in their right mind would attempt this route anyway. It seems impossible. We should turn around and cautiously make our way down to safety. To comfort. To something easier.
Then I remember. We were born without limits.
I am good enough. I am worthy. I do deserve it. I am the real deal.
We power up the slope. Inch by inch, rockslide by rockslide. The rock gets firmer. We find a seam of good rock, and follow it. Soon enough, after hours of sliding and scrambling, we reach the summit.

Business owners: do you remember?
Before the emails. Before the employees. Before the decisions.
There was the Body. The Mind. The Spirit.
The childlike wonder of having no limits.
DO YOU REMEMBER?
We were born without limits. Then we acquired them without ever making the choice.
Take it back.

I am so lucky to work with many incredible entrepreneurs. We work on vision, sales, systems, processes, and much more. But our most powerful work is removing those limits that you never chose or wanted. They erode your value. They prevent your growth. They stop you being who you really want to be.
Take it back.
